Mrs. Tomaszewski earned an undergraduate degree with magna cum laude honors from Case Western Reserve University in May of 1995 with majors in Economics, Political Science, and Sociology. She was awarded her Juris Doctorate from Case Western Reserve in May of 1999 and was admitted to practice law in the state of Ohio in November of 1999.
Mrs. Tomaszewski is admitted to practice in all Ohio courts as well as in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. She is also a member of the Lake County Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. She served as the chairperson of the Lake County Bar Association's Young Lawyers' Committee in 2002 and 2003, and since 2010 has served as the co-chairman of the Lake County Bar Association's Law Day Committee. She has also been an active member of various other Lake County Bar Association Committees such as the Golf Outing Committee. In addition, Mrs. Tomaszewski also volunteers for the Lake County United Way. She served on the Executive Campaign Cabinet as a co-chair of the Attorney Division in 2009 and 2010, and currently sits on the Board of Directors of the organization.
Mrs. Tomaszewski has also received several awards. In 2005 and 2009, she was named as an Ohio Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine. Super Lawyers Magazine names attorneys in each state who received the highest point totals as chosen by their peers and through independent research. In 2010, Mrs. Tomaszewski received the Ohio State Bar Foundation's District 18 Award for Community Service by Lawyers Forty and Under.
Mrs. Tomaszewski focuses her practice in the areas of general business, real estate, and commercial litigation. Her practice includes assisting and counseling clients with regard to general business start-up; mergers and acquisitions; commercial real estate sales and leasing; commercial development; and franchise law. She also represents clients in all types of commercial disputes at both the trial court and appellate court levels. Mrs. Tomaszewski's litigation practice includes all types of commercial disputes, contractual claims, and eminent domain litigation.
